Many residents have lived in the area their entire lives, and I have found that they are genuinely friendly and welcoming to those who are new to the community. In recent years, particularly with the development of Shady Creek and other new lots throughout the town, Grottoes has experienced significant growth. We are seeing more young families, children, and new residents becoming part of our community, which brings both opportunities and excitement for the future.

Although I am not a Grottoes native, I fell in love with this town many years ago. Grottoes became my home 14 years ago when I first lived in the Augusta County portion of the community, and I have now lived within the town for more than 10 years. What drew me to Grottoes--and what continues to make it special--is its small-town charm and strong sense of community, while still providing residents with many of the necessities and conveniences they need just minutes from home. I believe preserving that welcoming, close-knit character while thoughtfully embracing our community's growth is one of our greatest opportunities moving forward.

2-other-issues
3. I am very knowledgeable of the Freedom of Information Act of the Code of Virginia because we the people elect our governments and have the right to know who is making decisions and what those decisions are. I am well versed in the Town of Grottoes Code and all its complexities and if elected, I will work to ensure that the changes that are currently being made to the Grottoes Code keep decision making in the hands of the residents of Grottoes through transparency and public hearings. Grottoes Town governance makes the policies and town staff carries them out and this should be done uniformly and fairly.

My personal compass points towards fairness and facts.
