I fought against those cuts and offered amendments to protect Medicaid and rural health care, but Republicans blocked them.<\/p><p>I'm also working to strengthen rural hospitals by addressing some of the services most at risk of disappearing. We provide <strong>free breakfast, lunch, and dinner every school day.<\/strong> We cover the costs of extracurricular activities--from football and marching band to debate. We provide band and orchestra instruments and even cover AP test fees.<\/p><p>But there is still so much more we want to do.<\/p><p>We want to create a <strong>STEM center, a Welcome Center at Central Office, a permanent home for our Alternative Education program, Universal Pre-K<\/strong>, and so much more.<\/p><p>These aren't just \"extras.\" They are investments in our students, our families, and the future of our community.<\/p><p><strong>Our challenge isn't a lack of ideas or commitment. I hold a bachelor's degree in Individualized Studies with a specialization in Special Education Psychology and a master's degree in Educational Psychology.<\/p><p>My experience doesn't stop at the classroom or the School Board.
